Tesla Powerwall 3 - 3x MPPT 11.04kW 1PH Inverter with 13.5kWh Battery
Product details
Tesla Powerwall 3 can deliver 11kW discharge & 5kW charge with 13.5kWh of fully useable energy. Powerwall 3 achieves this by supporting up to 20 kW DC of solar and providing 11.04 kW AC of continuous power per unit. It has the ability to store up to 13.5 kWh of energy and start heavy loads rated up to 185 A LRA, meaning a single Powerwall 3 can support the power needs of most homes.
Energy That’s There When You Need It
Powerwall ensures reliable backup protection, withstanding extreme weather, cold temperatures, high humidity, and up to 0.6 meters of water.
Charge on Solar
Optimise your stored energy to charge your EV with clean energy anytime, even during outages. Adjust settings to use only excess solar energy for charging
Tesla Approval Process
- Installer must be MCS certified and accredited with RECC or HEIS
- Apply to be a Tesla Certified Installer directly with Tesla using the link below.
- Tesla will review your application and if suitable you will be sent a contract and NDA to sign.
- Once returned this will be countersigned by Tesla. Once countersigned you will be Tesla certified and can begin marketing the Tesla products.
- Upon confirmation from Tesla, ClearRay Solar will make products live for you to view and order through the ClearRay Solar Portal.
You cannot install and commission a system until training is completed.

- Sites that already have a Gateway or meter
With Backup Gateway 2
TES-POWERWALL3-PACK- Adds
- Gateway 2, Mersen 22×58 fuse holder, 100 A fuse
- For

- Non-backup installs, upgradeable later
The Backup Gateway 2 detects a power cut and disconnects the home from the grid, so Powerwall 3 switches to backup quickly and keeps it running, at up to 11.04 kW depending on local conditions. The Remote Energy Meter replaces the Gateway for a simpler, lower-cost non-backup install. Powerwall 3 still stores solar or cheap-rate energy and exports at peak times, and a Gateway can be added later.
Gateway fuses. Since 1 April 2023 Tesla no longer supplies fuses or fuse holders with the Gateway kit. They are mandatory for the installation to withstand a 16 kA short circuit, and the datasheet rates Gateway 2 at 16 kA only with a BS 88.3 current-limiting fuse (10 kA without). The "With Backup Gateway 2" option includes the 100 A fuse and holder for a single-phase install.
Remote Energy Meter option: this configuration does not provide backup power during grid outages.
Output and grid connection
AC output is configurable from 3.68 kW to 11.04 kW. At 3.68 kW the maximum continuous current is 16 A, the G98 point, with a 20 A protective device. At the full 11.04 kW it is 48 A on a 63 A device. The Documents tab holds the G98 certificate for 3.68 kW, G99 certificates for 3–10 kW and 11.04 kW, and G100 certificates for export limiting at 5 to 11.04 kW.
Solar side
Three MPPTs track from 60 V to 480 V, taking 30 A each (38 A short-circuit). The input range is 60–550 V DC with a 600 V withstand, and up to 20 kW of solar at STC. The DC isolator and arc-fault protection (AFCI) are integrated.
