The 3.6 kW Mini is sized to the top of G98. It is as much inverter as a single-phase home can connect without a DNO application.
Why exactly 3.6 kW
The single-phase G98 limit is 16 A per phase, about 3.68 kW. This model's rated grid output current is 16 A, with 3.6 kVA maximum output. Anything larger on one phase means a G99 application or a G100 export-limiting scheme.
Panels and strings
Solis recommends up to 5.4 kW of PV, 1.5 times the rating. The single tracker has two string inputs at 19 A and a 30 A short-circuit rating. It works between 80 V and 500 V, with 600 V as the absolute limit. Twelve 450 W modules in two strings of six reach 5.4 kW.
