The SOLIX XE is Anker's modular home storage system: a 5kW single-phase hybrid inverter with 7kWh of LFP battery built into the power module itself, which you then stack with further 7kWh modules to reach the capacity you need. It takes three MPPTs and up to 10kWp of solar, and it is rated for indoor or outdoor installation.
Every configuration on this page is a complete package rather than a bare inverter – the metering, CT clamps and mounting hardware are in the box, so there is nothing to specify separately before an installer can commission it.
The system in figures
Because the power module already holds 7kWh, the configurations differ by one to three additional 7kWh modules rather than by the full capacity. That is why a 14kWh system takes only one extra module and a 28kWh system takes three.

Size it against the household's daily consumption in kWh rather than the array size – a winter week's meter readings is the better guide, because that is when the battery cycles hardest. Only the 14kWh is offered wall mounted; the taller stacks sit on the floor base, and at 276.5 kg a 28kWh stack needs a floor that will carry it.

Going past 28 kWh
The largest package here is 28 kWh, but the system itself stacks to 42 kWh – the power module plus five battery modules. If you want more than 28 kWh, buy the 28 kWh package and add modules to it rather than looking for a bigger package, because there isn't one.

Each module adds 7 kWh. Two on top of the 28 kWh package reaches the 42 kWh ceiling. Buying capacity up front is cheaper per kWh than adding it later.

Anker SOLIX XE Floor Mounted Base
Only the 14 kWh configuration is offered wall mounted. Taller stacks stand on the floor base, which is already included in the floor-mounted packages.

Questions about the SOLIX XE
Yes – that is the point of the modular design. The system stacks to 42kWh in total, so even the 28kWh configuration has room above it. Adding modules later costs more than buying the larger package up front, so it is worth sizing generously if the budget allows.
The power module is not just an inverter – it carries 7kWh of its own. One additional module makes 14kWh, two make 21kWh and three make 28kWh.
Anker rates the XE for indoor or outdoor installation. A sheltered position still outperforms an exposed one over a winter, because cold costs usable capacity whatever the enclosure is rated for.
Three MPPTs and up to 10kWp of PV, which is well above a typical domestic array, so the inverter is unlikely to be the limit on the roof.
